Residents Need To Know About This New Stipulation Regarding Deer Urine
CWD, or Chronic Wasting Disease, has been detected in 26 states, but Louisiana is not one of them. CWD has been found in deer urine, and it can remain on the property indefinitely after it has been introduced. Therefore, the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is taking proactive measures to prevent issues from arising. According to wlf.louisiana.gov, it is unlawful to possess attractants that contain natural deer urine or other bodily fluids. There is an exception to the rule though. Products from manufacturers that are actively enrolled and participate in the Archery Trade Association Deer Protection Program can be used.
